     Electropedic carries hospital bed mattresses from all of the major manufacturers including Invacare, Graham-Field Lumex, Merits, Tuffcare and others. These manufacturers typically make two (2) versions of their hospital bed mattresses, a standard model and an upgraded or premium model.

     Hospital bed mattresses are made of viscoelastic polyurethane foam or memory foam which was developed by NASA in 1966. Memory foam is now used in everything from medical equipment, clothing and shoes, to quality sleeping surfaces such as a mattress.
